For our final reorientation to time, we turn to the spaces and routines of everyday life. What happens when we slow down and listen closely to the seemingly mundane actions that structure our days, making coffee, taking a shower, brushing our teeth? Each routine contains its own rhythms, repetitions, and resonances, offering us a window into different scales of time.

Musicians Heather Stebbins and Rachel Beetz layer field recordings from their home routines into ambient, spectral textures, drawing attention to sounds and moments that may otherwise be glossed over and rushed through. Through repetition, amplification, and resonance, they expand the sonic life of familiar objects and rooms, transforming the ordinary into a site of wonder. Can we rediscover something essential about ourselves by listening more closely to the recurring moments of daily life?

Heather Stebbins is a sound artist who makes sparkly, gritty, and pressing music for instruments, electronics, and other objects.
